FIA COO Bruno Famen is confident that with the current coronavirus rules, Formula 1 events can be held anywhere in the world in the paddock. According to him, the only obstacle is the restriction on entry to this or that country.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most of the F1 stages in the 2020 season take place in Europe. Only Russia, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi remained from the away races.
“We have proof that the protocol works under all circumstances,” Famen is quoted by the German edition of Motorsport-Total . – The only problem is the restrictions on entry into the country, set by governments. The main issues are permission from the authorities, the requirement to comply with quarantine. These aspects are not spelled out in our protocol ”.
