According to the specialist, there is no explosive growth in infection cases in Russia, therefore, the already introduced restrictive measures should be enough to combat the pandemic, RIA Novosti reports.
The recession of the epidemic in almost all Russian regions should begin by December, the country has “green” regions – there the spread of infection is less than 0.9, that is, positive, said Aghasi Tavadyan, an expert on statistics and modeling of the Center for Economic Research.
He explained that light yellow, orange and light red regions are also visible on the special map – there the index ranges from 0.9 to 1.2 (from stable to unsatisfactory).
“The difficult situation is now in St. Petersburg, the Moscow region, as well as in the Crimea, the Komi Republic, the Kaliningrad region, Tatarstan, the Perm region, in Chuvashia, the Novgorod region, Karelia, the Pskov region, the Chechen Republic,” the analyst said.
According to him, these regions will overcome the plateau later than everyone else. It is necessary to continue to observe the norms of social distance and wear masks, the scientist emphasized. This is one of the main factors affecting the spread of the virus.
